One order, to the cent
Open any order and see every step from what the customer paid to what stayed.
Finance → Orders. Press the + beside an order number. The order opens into its arithmetic: customer paid, refunded, tax, goods, freight and duty, Shopify’s fee, the payment fee for the method it was paid with, shipping and packaging, and kept. Each step says whether it was measured or your rate.
Below the steps: how it was paid, any discount code, how it was sent, and what the customer paid for shipping. Fold out “VAT by line” to see the order’s VAT split over its lines and its shipping. Shopify records the tax on the whole order, so the split is by each line’s share of the price; a gift card in the order carries none.
