Getting started

Profflow connects to your Shopify store and shows you your real net profit — what is left after VAT, the cost of the goods, ad spend, payment and platform fees, refunds and your monthly overheads. Shopify reports what came in. Profflow reports what stayed.

The three things that have to happen

1. Connect your store. Read-only, about a minute.
2. Tell Profflow what things cost. VAT, product costs, payment fees, what you pay every month. This is the part that decides whether the profit figure is measured or estimated.
3. Read it. Everything else — ads, customers, break-even, the exports — builds on those two.

Step two is the one people skip. A dashboard with no costs entered can only show you revenue with a percentage taken off it, which is a restatement of what Shopify already told you. Half an hour in Settings is the difference between a figure you can act on and one you cannot.
