DDP or DAP: who pays the import tax

Pay the duty and VAT yourself, or leave it to the customer at the door.

Delivered duty paid (DDP): you pay import VAT and duty and the customer pays nothing on delivery — a smoother delivery at a cost to you. Delivered at place (DAP): the customer pays it, plus the carrier’s handling charge, and some refuse the parcel. Tax centre → Reports compares the two for your orders: what DDP would cost you, and what DAP adds to the customer’s price.
