Enter product costs

1. Open Products.
2. Type a unit cost beside a variant, or paste a column of costs for many at once.
3. Save. Orders containing that variant become measured from today.

Each cost is dated. The day you enter it is the day it starts applying; earlier orders keep the cost that was in force then, so a closed month never changes because a price changed later.

Every cost change is recorded in your audit log with the previous figure.
